Souper Bowl Sunday, February 1

This Sunday, February 1 is Souper Bowl Sunday.  No, that’s not a mis-spelling.  Yes, there is that other Superbowl going on, but there is also the Souper Bowl- a nationwide event that takes place ever Superbowl Sunday where youth groups around the nation collect money in soup bowls (or pots) to combat hunger.

The Youth of First will at the ready with pots in hand, to collect your spare change.  They have decided that the monies collected will go to Feed My Starving Children, a Twin Cities-based charity that works to combat hunger around the world.  First has had a relationship with Feed My Starving Children, raising money for the group last December when we hosted “Gift of the Magi.”

So, look under your couches, grab some change from your penny jar, and consider giving this Sunday!
