Sunday Morning Prayer Beings June 7

When I was in college, I used to gather with three other young for prayer on a weekly basis. We didn’t gather to just pray, but it was also a sharing of our lives. What developed out of that weekly gathering were strong relationships that in many cases are still going strong twenty years later.
One the main points gleaned from our Lenten study of the book
Unbinding the Gospel is the importance of prayer in the mission
and ministry of this congregation. As the faith community of
First Christian Church continues on its journey of transformation,
prayer is of vital importance in the sharing of ourselves with God
and with each other.
Beginning on June 7, we will gather for a brief time of prayer be-
fore Sunday worship. We will meet at 9am in the Library room.
All are invited to come and take part as we pray for First Chris-
tian, the Whittier neighborhood and the world.
