Food Pantry Sunday: The CROP Walk Lives On!
This Sunday.Please bring your non-perishable food item or see Associate Pastor Dennis Sanders and his coffee can after service and make a cash donation. The donations will be split between the Groveland FoodShelf and the Minneapolis CROP Walk. Yes, you still have time to give to this year’s CROP Walk even though the event was last week. Checks can me made to Church World Service. Part of the local proceeds will go to the Groveland Foodshelf Youth Program.
Feed My Starving Children
9am, Saturday October 24 in Coon Rapids. Many folks from First Christian have had a positive experience in making a difference when in comes to feeding the world’s hungry. If you would like to take part, sign up in the lounge or contact Associate Pastor Dennis Sanders at associatepastor@fccminneapolis.org.
Art of the Covenant- A Children’s Sunday School
Our arts-based Sunday School ministry for children continues. If you have or know of children (age 13 and under) who would like to take part, please contact the church office. Teacher Deb Murphy is still looking for old magazines for an arts project. Please donate magazines to the box set aside for them in the lounge, or call Deb at 612-807-2287. Thanks! Deb is also looking for people to donate snacks for the kids. If interested, please contact Deb.
Mission Event: Community Emergency Services
On November 14, we will go to Community Emergency Services, a ministry in the Phillips Neighborhood, to help them restock their foodshelf .
