Reflections on the Word
FCC E-vent Scripture for 11.8
“And when they could not bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him.” Mark 2:4
The healing of the paralytic in Mark 2 may not have happened at all if not for the ingenuity and persistence of his friends. More than their faith, they took a risk that paid off. Faith is not always about staying safe, but like loving, is sometimes about taking a calculated risk.
God of our lives: Give us the courage to make a way where there seems no way. When we fail, help us start over. When we succeed, give us humility. Amen.
