A Thank-You for Faith Sharing Efforts

On Christmas Sunday, we didn’t hit 250 people in worship, but we did have an increase in attendance of 60% over our average and, in spite of the weather, about 15 people more in our Christmas Eve service than my recollection of last year.

Now, I’m not trying to play a numbers game here, but instead I’m trying to point out that every additional person in worship means that a new relationship can be started or an old relationship renewed.

That’s the purpose of Christian community, and particularly that needs to be the calling of everyone in the life of the community.  The body of Christ here at FCC will, guided by God’s spirit (hopefully), grow in number because we grow in the spirit of relationship.

So, I’m not going to be shaving my beard at this time (but will probably offer it up as a future goal); however, I am going to send some cash to regional ministry to say “Thank you” to the congregation for engaging in the efforts of faith-sharing, as well as to encourage you to “keep it up.”

I also wish to offer a word of thanks to all who provided wonderful munchies, thoughtful notes, and other things during the Advent Christmas season.  I’m still enjoying some of the munchies!  Bless you for the blessing you are to me.

I’d like to see YOU on Sunday,

Bob
