Are you working towards a tithe?
Last spring, Rev. Dr. Janet Long, of Generosity Plus, spoke to us about the Biblical concept of a tithe: giving one-tenth of our earnings back to God, in gratefulness for God’s blessings on our lives. She acknowledged that a tenth can seem like a lot, but it’s something that we can work toward. She challenged us to look at our giving and see if we can take it up a notch. If you are giving 1%, can you take it up to 2%? If you are giving 3%, can you take it up to 4%? We offer the following giving chart as a guide for those who would like to challenge themselves to work toward a tithe.
