Join us December 7 for Coffee, Chrismons, Compassion in the Gathering Space!

9 am-10 amCoffee With The Pastors online and in person; light refreshments provided

10-11 am:   Making Christmas decorations: Beaded Chrismons* and cut out bells. During Advent 2×3 inch pictures will be taken of members to put onto a bell which will be hung on the Christmas tree in the sanctuary.

*Chrismons are religious symbols representing the Christian faith. The word is a combination of Christ and monogram. Irene Hinote, who was Barb Rusinak’s mother and Steve and Becky Rusinak’s grandmother, was well known at FCC for making amazing and beautiful Chrismons.

11:00 am – 4:00 pm: Cookie baking for the Aliveness Project. 11 – 1 will be prep, ovens will be available beginning at 1:00 pm.

Our Advent giving (instead of poinsettias) will be for Refugee Services through Minnesota Council of Churches.  Here is a list of items that we can provide for new refugees to our area.

  • Tableware (Plates, bowls, drinking glasses, mugs, silverware)
  • Cookware (Cookies sheets, baking dishes, mixing bowls, serving bowls, food storage containers, serving trays, kitchen knives, kitchen utensils such as wooden spoons, slotted spoons, spatulas, ladles, can openers, dish rags/dish towels, potholders)

Items can be placed in the South Sanctuary. Starting December 1, you may also donate money through Givelify for this Advent project or send a check to the church office. Mission and Outreach will shop for you!
