Lenten Study Series:
With Greater Boldness – Exploring Queer & Trans Biblical Theology

led by Seth Anderson-Matz
Wednesdays: March 19, 26 – April 9, 16 on Zoom

In our religious-cultural climate of Christian nationalism, great and necessary energy has been spent offering biblical support for reconciling and affirming LGBTQ+ life within Christianity. But all too often, “all are welcome” is where the queer & trans theological conversation ends. What comes next? What does queer & trans biblical theology have to offer beyond “God loves everyone”? What happens to our hearts–and our faith–when we approach the Bible as a queer & trans text?

Over the course of four weeks we will explore queer & trans biblical theology beyond apologetics, uncover scriptural evidence of the radical belonging and spiritual gifts of queer & trans people, and explore together how queer & trans liberation can inform, inspire, and invigorate our personal and collective devotion.
