The Hennepin County Board is considering increasing shelter funding for the first time in years as a direct result of Street Voices of Change and their Shelter Residents Bill of Rights.
We need your help to make sure the Commissioners fund shelters at a level that helps ensure shelter is a safe and dignified experience for anyone who stay there. You can call or email your Commissioner today (Find your Commissioner and their contact here https://www.hennepin.us/your-g…/leadership/find-commissioner) and ask that they support the $2 million dollar in shelter amendments.
Or you can join us and Street Voices on November 14th from 1-4pm at the Hennepin County Board Room and show your support. You can be there in solidarity with Street Voices or have a chance to speak yourself.
