First Covenant Church (one of our AlignMpls partner congregations) is serving as an emergency shelter for those affected by the Drake Hotel fire on Christmas Day. The intense needs of care and provision for the Drake Fire guests who are being housed at FCCM are ongoing. Please consider sharing some of your time and resources if you are able.
To signup click here. The Red Cross will use your information to conduct a standard background check. Once you are approved for your shift, some things to keep in mind:
- When you arrive at First Covenant, please check in with the front desk and the Red Cross shift supervisor.
- Please note: there is no free parking at First Covenant because the church’s parking ramp is under construction. There is ample street meters and nearby public parking ramps. The church is located at 810 S 7th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55415.
- When you arrive as a volunteer, please know that there are a variety of tasks that may need to be done, such as helping to serve a meal, clean up from a meal, hang out with guests, or whatever else needs doing. Please accept whatever task you are assigned to do with gracefulness, joy, and a can-do spirit.
