Open/Close Menu An Open & Affirming, Welcoming Community of Faith in the Heart of the Twin Cities: Come to a place where you can explore, be curious, and ask questions.

Dear Beloved Community,

I hope this message finds you filled with peace and joy. It is with great excitement and a deep sense of calling that I introduce myself as the new Executive Director of AllianceQ. I am humbled and honored to serve this remarkable community, and I look forward to walking alongside you on this journey of radical inclusion and love. I come to this role with a passion for justice and equity. I hope to contribute in creating spaces where everyone, regardless of their identity, can experience the full embrace of God’s love.

I believe the work of true inclusion is not just about welcoming people in, but honoring the beauty and uniqueness of every person, each made in the image of God. I believe that as we grow together, we can reflect God’s love most powerfully when we celebrate the diversity of their people—the particularities that make each of us sacred and beloved. As we move forward, I am excited about the future we will build together—one that is dedicated to embodying God’s love in ways that lift the marginalized, challenge injustice, and create a truly welcoming space for all. I am committed to working with each of you to continue this vital ministry of inclusion and transformation. I hold tight to a sacred truth from Dr. King that indeed, “We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”  It is my hope that we will navigate hard and beautiful things TOGETHER!

Please feel free to reach out—I would love to connect, learn about your experiences, and hear your hopes for the work we will do as a community. I look forward to the shared journey ahead! I am here as a co-laborer, a partner, a sibling!

God has shown us, as Gods creation, what is good. And what does the Lord require of us?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God. (Micah 6:8)

In faith and with gratitude,
Jermell Witherspoon
