In keeping with our calling as Disciples of Christ to “be a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world”, the Wholeness Fund of FCC Minneapolis exists to provide financial support to non-profit organizations or specific projects that promote wholeness through services or programs. In the words of First Christian Church’s mission statement, in the spirit of Jesus Christ who actively sought to minister to all people, the Wholeness Fund seeks to support local and global organizations that strive to meet the needs of their community by serving people as they walk through life.
Our grants can be for such things as special events, start-up funds, or specific one-time needs. We are open to considering all sorts of proposals.
Decisions for funding requests are made by the members of The Wholeness Fund Committee. Funding is primarily intended for organizations that are tax-exempt from federal income taxation pursuant to Section 501c(3) and are not classified as private foundations with the code. Individuals and organizations which do not have 501c(3) status will be considered for funding if they are able to demonstrate how their project helps to fulfill the mission of this fund. Currently there is no deadline for applications; all applications will be reviewed as they are received.
