From The Global Day of Prayer for Justice for George Floyd and Black Liberation Planning Committee:
Our hearts are broken. We are making some adjustments due to a death in our community at 38th and Chicago. We understand that there is an impulse to gather in-person during times of struggle and grief.
We have been asked NOT to gather in person at 38th and Chicago on March 8th, 2021 out of respect for the grieving community.
The Global Day of Prayer for Justice for George Floyd and Black Liberation will continue in a virtual fashion. We still believe in the transformative power of prayer for our community. We need prayer now more than ever in the midst of our grief.
We will update you soon with a revised schedule of the virtual plans for tomorrow as soon as we are able.
