The South Minneapolis Day Camp’s theme this summer will be: Peace ~ Salaam ~ Shalom. Day Camp will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church (same spot as last year) June 27-July 1, 9 am – 4 pm (child care available before and after for drop-off/pickup needs).
Kids age 4 through 8th grade may participate; new this year will be a separate track for middle school kids (just finished grades 6-8). High school youth are eligible to be shepherds. Adult Help Needed:
In order to make this ecumenical, collaborative, Christ-cenetred camp work, we need adult volunteers. Bring your gifts and passions as you are able, and as you unless these children, we trust you’ll be blessed by them, too. We need:
Morning Help: welcoming and registering kids, morning childcare before camp starts, opening games, serving snacks, co-leading art, teaching peacemaking practices, relationship-building, shepherding, and more.
Afternoon Help: field trip chaperones (Tuesday and Wednesday), shepherds, collaborators in service projects, and more.
