The election is just two weeks away, and we have a lot of work to do to continue gaining momentum and support for the Yes4Minneapolis Public Safety Charter Amendment Campaign! As people of faith, we are called to enact justice, peace, and liberation in the world, and we know that supporting and passing the Public Safety Charter Amendment will do just that. Rooted in our faith commitments, we invite and encourage you to play an active role in this important effort in these last days before the election.
Below are a few explicit invitations for you to come on board (or stay on board!) to make sure that we pass this critical amendment to make Minneapolis safe for all. Join us for any or all of these exciting opportunities!
- Attend a Yes4Minneapolis Virtual Info Session!
- What: Come learn more about this community-led campaign to create the expanded and comprehensive Department of Public Safety for Minneapolis!
- Who: Folks who are still in the learning stage of understanding and committing to vote “yes” on the Public Safety Charter Amendment
- When: Wednesdays Oct. 20 and 27, 6–7 p.m. Central Time
- Register here for a Yes4Minneapolis info session!
- Volunteer for Yes4Minneapolis doorknocking shifts!
- What: Come door knock with us to help Get Out the Vote and rally support for the Public Safety Charter Amendment in these critical last days before the election!
- When: The weekend before the election (Saturday, Oct. 30–Sunday, Oct. 31) AND on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 2).
- Who: Anybody who is in support of the Public Safety Charter Amendment, especially folks who are already committed to voting “yes” and want to share the good news and encourage others to do the same!
