Seth Anderson-Matz is a queer & trans public theologian and community minister based in Minneapolis. Informed by Catholic and Unitarian Universalist traditions, Seth’s scholarship and ministry centers the prophetic and revelatory wisdom of queer & trans life and the spiritual practices of liberation and solidarity. He holds a Master of Arts in Religion & Theology from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, and has served in a number of ministry settings including as Interim Minister of First Presbyterian Church of Mankato and Children, Youth, and Families Program Coordinator at First Universalist Church of Minneapolis. He has also been working in queer & trans liberation movement spaces for over 20 years, and has held advisory roles with several national organizations including GLSEN, the Trevor Project, and Advocates for Youth. You can find his work included in the forthcoming first volume of The Book of Uncommon Rituals, scheduled to be released by Wildhouse Publishing in Fall 2026.
